Following the intervention by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, an estimated 40,000 sailors stuck on different ships are permitted to return to the land at the Mumbai port. They will undergo a full medical check-up and be quarantined at a building made available to them for isolation, besides following all other protocols of the COVID-19 pandemic.

1500 industrial units spread across 20 functional Special Economic Zones are set to resume production as they have been granted permission to begin operations from April 20th. 285 export-oriented units (EoUs) in the state have also received approvals from the concerned authorities to commence production.
