A control room set up by the DPIIT to monitor issues of trade and industry has resolved as many as 1,739 matters as on 28 April. The issues were pertaining to internal trade, manufacturing, delivery and logistics of essential commodities during the lockdown period. The matters were further addressed to the concerned state government, district and police authorities as well as other agencies to resolve supply chain issues.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has extended a nationwide COVID-19 lockdown until May 17. But some relaxations are allowed after 04th May. Travel by air, rail and metro and inter-state movement of people by road remains banned all over the country. There will be no restriction on the movement of goods between states or on the manufacturing and distribution of essential items.
