Ako se bavite izvozom i uvozom robe, upoznati biste s Usklađenim sustavom opisa i kodiranja robe, poznatijim kao Harmonizirani sustav (HS) ili Harmonizirani sustav nomenklature (HSN). To je univerzalno prihvaćena metoda klasifikacije robe kojima se trguje. Njegova glavna funkcija je pomoći carinskim tijelima u prepoznavanju proizvoda i procjeni odgovarajućih carina i poreza na njih. U usklađenom sustavu svakom proizvodu dodjeljuje se jedinstveni numerički kod koji se naziva HS oznaka.
