Air Waybill

Air Waybill (AWB) is a contract of carriage or the forwarding agreement between the shipper and the air carrier. It consists of the consignee's name and address, shipper's name and address, origin airport code, destination airport code, the shipment value of goods, description of goods, gross weight, and special handling instructions, if any.

It is sent along with the shipment and is duly signed by the shipper, the consignee, the carrier, or their respective representatives. An Air Waybill is a non-negotiable document i.e.; it does not state the details of the flight and delivery timelines.
