They are facing regulatory challenges, shortage of manpower and a huge slump in supply. Blue Dart has implemented a 25% emergency situation surcharge (ESS). Air India might increase freight charges by 90% per kilo if it doesn’t have sufficient cargo to ferry.

Nearly half of India's export sector orders are getting cancelled and units are unable to pay their loans due to the pandemic and lockdown. A billion jobs may be at stake due to COVID-19 situation. India exporters are losing ground to China and other neighbouring countries.
